Schöneberg (Gudrun Gut’s Home Mischung) Gudrun Gut is one of Berlin’s revered independent music icons and probably the most ever evolving. She was an early member of Einstürzende Neubauten and a founding member of the groups Mania D, Malaria! and Matador, made highly regarded solo albums and has innumerable collaborations to her credit. She is also the head of the labels Monika Enterprise and Moabit Musik. Paul Frick was lucky enough to remix her song ‚Musik‘ and to get in real-time exchange her version of ‚Schöneberg‘, an ode to the district Paul grew up in. A dub-driven roller featuring Gudrun Gut’s breathed vocals. Church 5 Loop 2 (Lance Gamble’s Schleifstein Dub) Lance Gamble is a rather mysterious dub artist and singer from Berlin-Schöneberg. He has numerous theatre, film and radio play scores to his credit and also worked in some remote art formats. In collaboration with Aron Kitzig and Lars Dreiucker, he perpetrates a series of moody song and video miniatures under the name Ticket Torsten. Lately he as well explores the extremely hot genre Psychedelic Schlager in German as ‚Schleifstein’ and is about to make it ready for the future. Lance Gamble’s consequently ‚Schleifstein’ titled version of ‚Church 5 Loop 2‘ offers an expansive take on Dub music. Far and close are in constant dialogue and interplay with sonic poetry and sub-bass science so to say.
